Additional
Filming with Ella

Now that Ella has experienced all of the sounds on her bucket list, the film crew will continue to check in with her via a series of ongoing interviews as her hearing deteriorates.

Interviews with Experts

As part of the narrative of the film, we plan to interview experts in various fields, including the president of the Ehlers-Danlos Society, members of the deaf community, and individuals with expertise in the fields of audiology and musicology, among others.

Editing & Sound Mixing

Given the subject of this film, an immaculate audio experience is key to properly telling Ella’s story as well as sharing the impact of sound with the audience.

Including On-Screen
ASL Interpreters

We want everyone, no matter their hearing ability, to be able to enjoy this film. This includes Ella, who will likely never hear this movie.

Hiring Visual Artists

We plan to work with independent visual artists to provide artistic representations of what the sixteen sounds feel like to complement each section of the film.

Promoting the Film

Our goal is to have the film finished in time for the 2027 film festival season, in hopes of securing streaming distribution.
